This is the second report on the program of our linking education in physics. We have executed the subject“，Exercise in Basic Physics"，since 2000 in order to fill the gap between physics of high school level and physics to be learned in college. This paper refers to some attempts developed in the first semester for the freshmen of our Institute. We begin to use an original workbook as the textbook. Furthermore as another new attempt，w e gave tests twice， where the questions were common to all the classes in the Faculty of Engineering. We analyze the results of these tests. In addition，the results of questionnaires about the classes are discussed and future problems are addressed |
