With the increase in natural disasters in recent years, the number of times shelters have been opened is increasing. In addition, especially in the event of a large-scale disaster, the evacuation period will be prolonged, which will increase the burden on shelter management sta_. This study proposes a simple and inexpensive information system that uses digital technology to improve the e_ciency of shelter operations during large-scale disasters. As a _rst step, the system uses Radio Frequency Identi_cation （RFID） tags to streamline the work of evacuees’ roll call and food distribution. As a result of introducing the proposed system to an evacuation drill, it was demonstrated that the execution speed of roll call and food distribution was improved by about three times. In addition, the results of a questionnaire survey of evacuation drill participants showed that more than 90% of the participants realized the effectiveness of the proposed system. |
