The NC brace resists tension without buckling due to no compression. The steel framed structure arranged Z-type NC brace is named Z-type NC braced frame. The braced frame can absorb elastic strain energy by one directional incremental deformation behavior. Shaking table tests and numerical analysis of a single story specimen are carried out to clarify a convergent point of the incremental deformation of the Z-type NC braced frame.
