For the owners of wooden residential houses, the questionnaire survey by a paper was carried out on the consciousness about the earthquake-resistant diagnosis of the house and the earthquake resistant improvement. The investigation items were edited, based on “the questionnaire survey about the earthquake resistance of the house” performed by Hiroshima prefecture in 2006, and the answer was compared with the results of the prefecture. The purpose of the survey was intended to examine the difference of the consciousness answer to depend on the housing construction year that is 1) before 1961, 2) between 1962 through 1981, or 3) after 1982, widely used in the earthquake damage estimation by the local government. It is clarified that the owners of wooden houses constructed after the 1981 “new anti-seismic” design code also had some concern to the earthquake resistance of their house. |
