Some of the pendulum motion energy of the drinking bird is converted into the electrical energy by electromagnetic induction. It is possible to confirm the small LED flashing and the operation of galvanometer. We conducted a lesson of energy harvesting to college students and carried out the demonstrative experiments using this apparatus.
