The aim of this study is to investigate the dwelling environment of Iwaishima Village and to apply the results to the improvement of our dwelling environment. We pay special attention to the characters of the public, common and personal uses of village space, which became clear by the recent investigations into Iwaishima Village. On the basis of the analysis of those characters, we attempt to rearrange the framework of construction of space. |
