RF-ID smart labels can be electronically interrogated to reveal ID and other data. Furthermore, these transponders feature read/write updating so that the information from 2D map and the records to guide a mobile robot to a goal rapidly can be updated instantaneously. Especially they are small, lightweight, and can be laminated on the floor easily.
