| 内容記述 | Edo era Shinto Ceremonies in Aki and Bingo district have not been researched with the exception of National Shinto Shrines such as Itukusima Shrine. This paper describes the Shinto Ceremonies of Ujigamisha (a shrine for vi1lage people) in Tsuta of Aki district carried out according to Edo era texts written by priests of Ujigamisha (Hachimansha Shrine) in Tsuta village. It concludes that the original purpose of the Shinto Ceremonies was not simply to praise gods and communicate with them，but mainly to send out evil spirits from the place that they live and purify their own fields. | |||||||||||
