| 内容記述 | As many scholars have pointed out，it is very difficult to say which of the different forms are due to Chaucer，and which have been introduced by one of other of his scribes. In this paper，contrary to Stephen Barney's footnote on p. 500 in The Riverside Chaucer which，it seems，was revised soon after the first impression was published in 1987，I wish to show that the tense of the went(e in Troilus and Criseyde，II，812，is the preterite，and not the present. | |||||||||||
