This paper focuses on the globally integrated production and logistic associated with developing strategies and managing the operation of company whose activities stretch across national boundaries. Global manufacturing systems consist of the home country and two groups of countries, industrialized and developing countries, where significant differences are found in production and assembly cost, tax rates, local content rules and regulations. Moreover an optimal incentive plan that would encourage each country group to make decentralized decisions was created. The globally integrated production and logistic models were formulated as an analytical problem, which contains two types of manufacturing decision problems: 1) determining production and logistic plans for each component and end-product, and 2) optimal incentive plans which will maximize the companies own return and worker's job-satisfaction. |
