The purpose of this study was to seek, from data on physique and physical fitness of elementary school girls, why they came to dislike exercise and sports. For 366 fifth and sixth year girls of elementary school, the effects of physique and physical fitness on fundamental motor abilities were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. 1. Fat girls were inferior in fundamental motor abilities, and we guessed that their physique changed to fatty. 2. Although many tall girls were superior in fundamental motor abilities, some were not. Especially, those who were tall and fat appeared to be remarkably inferior. 3. Those who showed unbalanced development in physique and physical fitness tended to be inferior in fundamental motor abilities. 4. Those who had less experience in physical activities seemed to be inferior in fundamental motor abilities. |
