When designing a learning support system for foreign language learning, it is necessary to know how social presence, the cultural context of learners, their satisfaction, and learning outcomes interact and inform design choices. In this study, we investigated the relationships among two modes of interaction (text chat or video chat), social presence, ethnicity, and satisfaction.
