These motors are the squirrel cage type and the solid pole type. A new method for analyzing the distorted waveform and computing the harmonic contents is suggested in Fig.-1. The experimental values of harmonic contents in the phase voltage，the phase current and armature active power analyzed by this method agree well with the theoretical values.
