The phenomenological theory of non-elastic behaviors in actual solids, including anelastic behavior as the special case of them, has already been established, and a plenty of standard interpretative books 1～7 about them are available. As far as we know, however, internal friction, φ, and dynamic modulus, Gω, are usually described only as functions of angular frequency, ω, and relaxation time, γ, that is to say, the equations which give the temperature dependence of them, at any rate, do not seem to have been described. In the present article, therefore, we wish to obtain the equations to express the temperature dependence of φ and Gω, as strictly as possible, on the basis of the measurement system commonly called “torsion pendulum method”. The equation for the peak temperature, which gives a maximum value of φ, has been also found incidentally to the analyzed process of φ and Gω Consequently, it is suggested that a fairly profitable information for the peak temperature can be obtained from only a little inquiring into the proposed equation. |
