Department of Clinical Engineering, Faculty of Life Science, Hiroshima Institute of Technology trains students to become clinical engineer. In order to become a clinical engineer, students are required to take clinical practice courses. Clinical practice conducted at medical facilities is strictly regulated by law and regulations in terms of content, time, etc., and is physically and emotionally taxing for students. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey before and after the clinical practice to examine the emotional changes and educational effects. The results suggest that the clinical practice resulted in an emotional change, as well as a clearer impression of clinical engineers and a change in their motivational behavior. |
