| 内容記述 | The increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere causes floods and landslide disasters associated with localized heavy rainfall in various parts of the country. Moreover, this is a social problem: it has been repeatedly pointed out that people are unable to evacuate properly even if information such as evacuation advisories and evacuation orders are issued after localized heavy rainfall or upon the approach of a typhoon. The purpose of this report is to gather data to prepare for large-scale natural disasters in the future by listening to the voices of residents, such as daily awareness of disaster prevention and information that motivates residents to evacuate. For that reason, a questionnaire and an interview survey were conducted targeting residents in the Nakagawa area of Okayama, which was affected by the heavy rain event of July 2018. It became clear that there was a lack of communication between the prefectural and city administrations and the affected locality. Moreover, the questionnaire revealed that the meaning of evacuation information was misunderstood and local hazard maps were not utilized by residents. |
