| 内容記述 | The Problem of Evil has been discussed as one of the major problems in monotheism. “Why does Almighty God allow evil to exist?” Various solutions to this problem have been proposed, including the Free Will Defence. But none of them is convincing. The Problem of Evil has an assumption, which is that God exists. One of the proofs of God’s existence is René Descartes’s Ontological Argument. But none of them is persuasive. Every logic has its own assumption, which needs to be verified. So this process of verification continues ad infinitum as an infinite regress. The Problem of Evil is not a problem but a pseudo-problem. So the Problem of Evil should be discussed as a matter of faith not a matter of logic. | |||||||||||
