The text was What is Freedom written by Bertrand Russell in 1952 prepared for liberal arts education at university level with notes in Japanese. Although grammatical structures of sentences are not so complicated,“ nouns” which constitute subjects or objectives, etc., are usually long and very difficult for students to understand to identify in a sentence. Rich concepts, often abstract and requiring general knowledge of historical backgrounds and social conditions, are condensed with embellishments or quantifiers into a noun.
