After those earthquakes, many studies have been carried out on brittle fractures of the beam-column connections. Most of those studies have employed moment-resisting frames to clarify fracture mechanism of connections. This experimental study was conducted on connections with a composite beam to propose a new method for rehabilitation of fractured bottomflange near by the connection.
