英語におけるギリシア借入語-古代ギリシアの人名を中心として- Greek loan words in English -with special reference to Greek personal names- 酒見, 紀成 サケミ, キセイ Sakemi, Kisei 801 Greek loan words borrowing place of accent application/pdf The aim of this paper is to investigate the phonological and morphological changes which Greek personal names undergo when they are adopted into English，and especially the number of loan words which retain the place of the accent in their original Greek from. It soon became apparent，however，that our question is practically the same as the question regarding the changes which Roman personal names undergo when they are adopted into English.
